I saw David, just before the end.
I was in Paris, just to get away from the grind, and he was there, renting a room from someone. He had gained a tremendous amount of weight. And it didn't look to me like he had cut his hair in a year. He was really unkempt.
I tried to talk about the weather, and french politics, but you know how he could be. He was impossible to pin down on anything. Anyway, he seemed distracted.
God I loved him. Even in that condition. If I keep thinking of that day, I'll just get maudlin. He was smoking a cigarette and staring into space as I left.
"Hope to see you soon." I called out. He just smirked.

Wed, June 23, 2004 - 6:23 PMDavid AND Buster in Paris?
Everyone thought David was a bot program
No one knew that Buster was a bot, (well except for the stagehands.)
They both developed cult followings, true
Yea, they should hang out and compare notes about TOU. -

Wed, June 23, 2004 - 10:46 PMIf anyone's taking notes, I'm trying to get over the disconnectedness I feel toward it all since I realized that the t.net staff is nothing more than a bunch of cynical marketers deliberately cultivating an addictive trap for a previously hard-to-penetrate demographic.
They've succeeded so well it makes me dislike humans again. -

Thu, June 24, 2004 - 5:46 PM"They've succeeded so well it makes me dislike humans again."
Yeah, like you ever stopped.
But I am reminded of something that happend to me, and a childhood friend of mine. We were playing in an alley and he saw a handgrenade laying on the edge of a mudpuddle. He walked over to pick it up. When he touched it, it blew his arm off.
I was knocked to the ground, but miraculously unhurt. (You can google this, it happened in Portland ORegon) Anyway, I think it had an effect on my mental outlook on life. I don't know, maybe not.
Well, this might not be zactly true. -

Re: And in the end
Thu, June 24, 2004 - 6:29 PMYour story reminds of me of the time that a friend of mine had a cousin, who had a neighbor, who had an acquaintance who knew of a nurse who was working in the emergency room when Rod Stewart was rushed in and needed his stomach pumped and they found dog semen in there.
It's a true story. You can google it. ;P
God, I love animals! -

Thu, June 24, 2004 - 8:48 PMDid you ever hear of the urban myth when Eddie Murphy and his bodygaurd were in the elevator in Las Vegas and scared the poo out of some lady who was hauling her winnings back to her romm alone. They laughed so damn hard they paid her for thye laugh! I know the guy that knows the actual aldy and he told me this story about herr for real and he had NO CLUE about the urban myth.
However, children find grenades (mostly is Kosovo) all the time and lose limbs. So I believe that one.

Re: And in the end
Thu, June 24, 2004 - 10:37 PMNo. It was the woman married to this man:
A terrible diet and room with no ventilation are being blamed for the death of a man who was killed by his own gas. There was no mark on his body but an autopsy showed large amounts of methane gas in his system. His diet had consisted primarily of beans and cabbage (and a couple of other things). It was just the right combination of foods. It appears that the man died in his sleep from breathing the poisonous cloud that was hanging over his bed. Had he been outside or had his windows been opened, it wouldn't have been fatal, but the man was shut up in his near airtight bedroom. According to the article, "He was a big man with a huge capacity for creating 'this deadly gas.'" Three of the rescuers got sick and one was hospitalized. -

Re: And in the end
Thu, June 24, 2004 - 10:59 PMurban legend. Methane is not poisonous. Flammable, yes, not hazardous to humans. -

Methane may not be poisonoius, but could it displace enough oxygen for enough time to suffocate a fat man with a weak heart, bad bowelage and poor decorating sense? -

Re: And in the end
Thu, July 1, 2004 - 10:56 PMNurse-
Well, for one thing, that damn cat is still clawing my feet. I'm sort of ignoring it.
But, as to the methane story- obviously a nurse knows more about that than an off the shelf plain old vanilla tribester.
And as to the grenade story, I made it up. But it seemed true while I was writing it. So maybe I was searching for a repressed memory. Oh oh. There it- no, yes I think I am feeling some- no, yes. No.
Damn. -

Re: And in the end
Thu, July 1, 2004 - 11:40 PMhey its a repressed memory, not pressing at all. want some truth serum?
all I know is that you suffocate without oxygen, hypoxia is very bad. I understand you can suffocate with freon. -
